Welcome to Week 4!
The Year One children have had a wonderful start to the school year. They have settled into the class routines and enjoyed participating in specialist classes. In our classroom, the children are learning how to work collaboratively in groups and each week are learning new and exciting things about their peers.
Parent
Information Evening
Thank you to all the parents for attending the
Parent Information Evening. I hope you gained a better understanding of our
routines, classroom management, my expectations and school policies. If you
were unable to attend and wish to discuss the information in person with me,
please don’t hesitate to contact me.
Special
Activities
3 About Me
This week we
will be completing our first independent speaking and listening task with an
oral presentation to our class. On Wednesday we will be sending home a ‘3
About Me’ bag. We would like to ask parents to help their children choose
3 objects from home that they can use to describe themselves to the class. When
they are choosing their objects please make sure:
1. All 3 objects fit inside this bag.
2. All 3 objects are appropriate for school
and not very valuable.
3. All 3 objects are important to them.
After they
have chosen their objects, they may wish to decorate the bag. Please bring the
bag and the objects to school on Friday
(5th March 2021) to share with the class.
