Old Socks - Whiteboard Erasers

Our class came up with an amazing way to keep our mini whiteboards clean and tidy by using none other than..... SOCKS! If you have an odd sock that is missing its partner, has a hole in it or is simply too small these days please send it into class, so we can reuse them as mini whiteboard rubbers. Not only do we have clean whiteboards but we are also helping the environment by using old items for new things. Pretty cool right!

  Book Week The Book Week dress-up parade was on  Friday 20th August .  The students looked fantastic and a big thank you to all the parents and carers for putting together their costumes.   No Trash Tuesday In accordance with our school’s Sustainability plan, our goal is to significantly reduce our school’s waste.  No Trash Tuesday is an initiative which encourages students and families to take a mindful approach to reducing the waste we produce.  Packing a lunchbox with no waste is both environmentally friendly and responsible.    Tip:  Try to use re-usable containers rather than bringing pre-packaged items.          Literacy Phonics We have been working on split digraphs that using the bossy e such as a-e as in cake. Welcome to Term 1

Dear Parents,   Welcome to Room 28's class blog. We will be posting on here regularly to keep you up to date with things we are doing in class and any important messages!   It has truly been a fantastic start to Year One. We have been extremely busy settling into brand new routines, which we are continuing to master. The students have embraced all new learning tasks with such a positive attitude and are very keen to do their best. It has been an absolute pleasure to witness this and we know that we will have a great year together.   Just a reminder that this Friday will be dressing up for Australia Day which happened over the school holidays.
